I am a registered CIinical Psychologist based in Westdene, Johannesburg.
I offer psychotherapy for adults and adolescents with a focus on treating anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD and complex trauma, amongst others.
My therapeutic approach is primarily integrative, allowing me to tailor sessions according to the specific needs of each individual client.
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.”
Have you considered how a professional clinical psychologist can help you bring about change in your life?
Who can benefit from therapy?
During individual therapy, my goal is to guide and assist the person in therapy through their emotions and behavioural challenges, towards change and growth. Adults and adolescents who need support with depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, childhood trauma, suicide, loss/bereavement, and identity formation struggles could benefit from this.
Couples therapy allows both individuals to partake in the therapy process. This can assist with resolving current relationship problems, prevent future problems or be a helpful ‘check-up’ during stressful periods. Couples who need support during life changes and divorce, or simply require relationship/marriage counselling could benefit from this.
Family therapy is designed to involve all the members of a family unit. It addresses specific issues that affect the health and functioning of a family during difficult periods. In addition to resolving conflict, it helps to improve the communication between individuals, creating a healthier and stronger family dynamic.
